FundWaste is an innovative startup helping businesses and organisations generate revenue from waste, by recycling plastic and paper using a 'waste to wealth' methodology. To deliver the small batch of working prototypes in early 2021 we worked with a consortium of plastics specialists including manufacturers and recyclers across Europe.

Our design needed to enable production of the unit from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics, whilst also remaining suitable for shredding at end of life. This meant the FundWaste sensors and technology had to be housed in a case that was not over-moulded, was over 1mm thick and avoided adhesives and paint finishes.
